The only president to start a war with an acknowledged inferior, weakened country to gain millions in oil profits.

Blix did really well, he didn't let O'Reilly spin it like he usually does. He made the point that so many of the war supporters are missing - Bush and Blair would have never had support for the war if they said it was to remove Saddam. And yet they use it to justify it now that they can't find any WMDs.

I thought it was funny when he was interviewing the guy from the organization that defended the kid with the abortion shirt. He criticized the organization because they only defend free speech when it fits with their message. Interestingly, Bill O'Reilly vehemently supports free speech in schools as it pertains to celebrating Christmas, but he would not support free speech in the case that tonight's segment dealt with (a pro-life shirt). I also seem to recall him criticizing the ACLU quite a bit... and NAMBLA... I guess he only supports free speech when it fits with his message.

I wish I could agree that O'Reilly was "owned". I doubt it. What I think is O'Reilly is pulling back from his right wing wacko schtick. I think he has good instincts (that's about all) and realizes he's become a parody of a commentator AND of a human being. He's taken some big shots for a long time and I'm certain it's had its effect. Everyone wants to be taken seriously. Few sentient humans have taken him seriously for a long time. I don't watch him much anymore, so maybe I'm wrong, but that's my take.

I saw it, and I agree Blix did a great job. But I must not have done a good job communicating. What I'm saying is O'Reilly didn't attack Blix the way he often attacked people in the past and it's because I think he's going through an image 'MAKEOVER". O'Reilly has not been taken seriously by the major media for a long time. So, what does he do when Fox gets rid of him? By being so insufferably narrow, pig ignorant (my apologies to the pigs), and obnoxious who would touch him? Scarborough gets the right wing message across but does it with much more sophistication and elan. Ditto for Mr. BOW TIE on Crossfire. O'Reilly is the beast in every Irishman. j/k

But, I think "owned" is not the word I would use. Yes, O'Reilly was sloppy, and a bit obtuse I thought, but O'Reilly is almost always those things, and more, IMHO.
