After reading the top video/computer game thread, I thought I would jsut make this public service announcement to let you all know, that for a FACT, Super Mario Kart on SNES was, is, and always will be, the best video game of all eternity.

Thanks for your time

P.S. If you think Mario Kart 64 has even ANYTHING on the SNES version, you are just telling me that you aren't good enough at SNES version to actually understand just how much skill is involved in this game. It is very clear that Mario Kart 64 was "n00bified" from the SNES version, just as many sequel games are (ie, Halo 2 is much more nooby friendly than Halo 1).

No way, Halo 2 is way more complicated than Halo 1. Halo 1 I can own people so easily and the weapons do more damage and are way cheaper (for example, pistol). Campaign is way harder in Halo 2 than Halo 1. I don't see how it is is noobified.

Wow, you would have soo much free time with your life if you would not write in these threads, when you have absolutely nothing in the world to contribute.

Go read a book or something.

Halo 2's removal of the healthbar is a real drag, not to mention the still crappy grenades and the weak bash. Basically making up all of the things I really enjoyed in the game.

Super Mario Kart > Mario Kart 64 > Mario Kart DD

Super Mario Kart > Mario Kart 64 > Mario Kart DD

1.1 update gave grenades and bash way more power. Removal of healthbar keeps us from spending the time to run for health.

as stated in my OP, you must just not be good enough at halo 2 yet to see the huge flaws in the game. halo 1 was 10x more balanced than halo 2. not to mention, halo 2 has the following:

- Larger Hit Boxes
- More Auto Aim
- Lockon Rockets
- Dual wieldable guns are wortless unless duel wielded
- Power weapons don't respawn on a timer, only respawn when they are out of ammo and dropped
- The sword doesn't run out of ammo.
- weakened grenades (fixed it with patch)

There are HUGE balance issues with these problems ... the game was completely noobified. I did not notice it probably until 2-3 months after playing it every day. i still play it every day almost, however its just a fact that the game is horrible unbalanced, and completely noobified. the match making gametypes are horrible for the most part. Thank god for custom games, otherwise i would hardly play halo 2.

and yes, i'm only talking about multiplayer aspects, not single player, i didnt finish single player.

I think if Nintendo actaully put the snes back out again it'd sell better then the gamecube, lol. A tweaked snes of course lol.

Agreed. No game has the same depth of skill required and no game since has replicated the 4-player capability as well either. Second to the SNES Mario Kart is the GBA Mario Kart game.

What does that say about those who apparently don't have anything better to do than reply?

Exactly . And I'm not necessarily talkin about battle mode, because while it does require skill, the real skill is in the GP mode.

150cc 2 player is where its at.

No one here said single player Super Mario Kart was unbeatable. I bet your ass would get owned with a "p" playing multi-player.
