WTF are you smoking. Troy had one of the worst editing I have ever seen. It jumps from scene to scene way too much without any transitions at all. Plus, the movie blew. One of the few movies I wanted my money back after seeing on the big screen.

I might be wrong - I read the book over 10 years ago. Who killed Achiles? All I remember is that Appollo guided the arrow.

Have you actually read the Iliad? I would list the ways the movie deviated from the book, but one reason should be enough:
Wolfgang Petersen dropped the various Greek Gods from the storyline (Zeus, etc) claiming them to be silly and unnecessary to the plot.

Besides leaving out major characters, prophecies and not following most of the story - sure it was close the book :roll:

It was an okay movie. Not great, but I was entertained.
