Last I heard they are still not sure whether BPA actually does anything harmful to us, I think they saw it caused developmental delays in rats. Think about it though, how many of us drank from BPA stuff growing up? All of us?

You know how they are these days with safety this and that. My wife went out and spent over $100 on new bottles (we have twins) after she heard new warnings. It's as bad as those back and forth cell phone radiation warnings.

I'd like to get a water bottle with filter but I can't find them anymore. I know Brita used to make them.

I bought a multi pure filter approx a year ago and it has paid for itself easily.
The water tastes fresh and has the chemicals and chlorine filtered out!!

http://www.multipureco.com/

A bit pricey but well worth the investment!!

At home (suburbs) I drink straight from the tap. At university (city) Brita Filter all the way, I hate the crappy tasting city water.

This is AT .. you need to build your own filtration system. You just need some activated charcoal for particle filtration and some H-OH resin if you want.

Heh, unfortunately, I don't want to share a faucet filter with others, but it seems that there aren't many options for pitcher filters

haha people pouring filtered water to be filtered again.

Lets all just drink pure H2 and O separately and let it create water as we injest it.

Thanks for trolling!!! You do know that tap water that has been filtered by a municipality may have to go through old/rusted/corroded pipes creating a bad taste to it when it eventually reaches your faucet.

Also, some municipalities also may need to add extra chlorine to kill algae/bacteria etc which may give the water a bad taste.

I have a Brita at home and a PUR at work, and I prefer the taste of the water from the PUR.

I have a Pur filter facet mounted 3 stage one, I like it. Though the filters seem to be sometimes harder to find/less on sale than the Brita ones.

Beat me to it.

I've never had shit "settle" at the bottom of a glass of water... either from the city tap water or from well water out in the county.

Water hysteria is idiotic. It absolutely blows my mind how much people spend on water.

Come to Phoenix and try the water, it can have some seriously nasty taste to it. However, I'm not going to base where I live on something as simple as water when I can run through a dirt cheap filter and have it taste fine.

Yeah, its all about taste. For about 15 cents a gallon, I can have good tasting water. The water here so bad it overpowers the flavor of tea.
