Pushing A8V+3200 to the limit

Asus A8V Deluxe Rev2 b1008
PC3200 2x512 Mushkin c2.5

I've been screwin around with this thing for a few days now, and I'm fairly certain that the board is the limiting factor. I've got it running very stable at a 255 fsb, but once I get over about 260, it starts getting flaky (stable gaming to 270, but not with Prime).

Anyhow, I set everything super low except for the fsb, which I ran up to 300 mhz. Ofcourse it wouldn't boot or post, so it won't run at that speed. I've heard of some folks having successful clocks into the 280s on this board though.

Am I pretty much stuck?
Do I have any other options?
(Don't tell me I should have gotten the Neo2 lol )
Does it sound like the board is the limit or the cpu?
Heat doesn't seem to be an issue, since the board is reporting less than 30C, and the processor hasn't gotten over 55C.
Are there any "tricks" or anything crazy to try?

Yes, and running the memory at 2/3 (on the 133 setting).

wtfs, on my a8v there is no option for the HT multiplier??? tell me where in bios it is lol.. oh and btw, i think the board is my limiting factor with my OC too, because even if i lower the cpu multi, and set a real low memory divider, it doesnt like over 256fsb. ( i set at 253 to be 100% stable) =/

Dude...
It's not labeled as a "multiplier" in the A8V bios, it's labeled as "600 mhz" in the HT menu. We have 1000, 800, 600, 400, 200, which correspond respectively to the 5,4,3,2,1 multipliers on other boards.

Asus did some crazy naming conventions on this board. Like the "memory divider" is 2:1 for our "DDR 400" option, while most folks refer to this as 1/1 on other boards (MSI). Not "wrong" or really misleading, as long as one is paying close attention to what each person is talking about with their specific board.

Also, it seemed like my HT lowered its own divider when I started messing with things initially. I had "1000" set in bios, yet when running Sandra, it was obviously reporting the multiplier at the 800 mhz level. No change when I rebooted and manually changed the setting to the lower. Strange...

You maybe the limit. Mine is not as low however I have probloms with high FBS also meaning above 270. Zebo may be right."there are no great 939 boards, and there $140" MSI has great fbs but still questionable PCI locks, Asus has IMO a bad FBS with working locks.

Just wondering if anyone is able to get past 277fsb on their A8V Deluxe boards? If so, what are you memory/ht/voltage settings?

I can do up to 277fsb at 800ht, but 278 even with 600ht and relaxed memory timings/ratios and higher vcore, it keeps erroring in memtest.
