actually, if your opponent has a health/weapon advantage, walking is advised, unless they're retarded and don't know the map well.
*gasp*, *gag*, *cough*.
You walk?
I suppose that means no duel? That being the case, I'll agree. Strafe jump everywhere
I don't care whether I have 1 opponent or 10 opponents. I play the same way: shoot anything that moves and constantly run/jump to avoid getting hit. It works well for me.
BTW, you only need 10BaseT for Q3. I'ts low bandwidth.
Yeah but my University labs all have 100 BaseT networking, and myself and my friends all have 10/100 network cards. If it's there we may as well use it.
hehehe....remember that "walking" thing? No footsteps = no sound.
That's right... keep walking... makes those slugs more likely to hit you.
In an open area where you have an altitude advantage, the SSG is better than the rail.
In wide open areas I've found the railgun to be the best weapon. The rocket launcher is also quite good provided you've mastered the "spreadfire" approach to firing it. The shotgun seems to only be good at close range or at medium range if you are constricted by rooms and corridors.
But then again the railgun is good in all those mentioned places as well. It's basically good anywhere so they had to add in that lag to stop it from being a super sniper rifle.
GODDAMN I LOVE QUAKE!!!!!!
You said it dude.
