Q3 team arena demo benchmarking

Y'know, I just was talking about a "killer benchmark" to truly test systems

what are peeps getting on the new Q3 team arena demo as a benchmark?

I did 1024x768x32, with everything else set to whatever dfault was (although I forced 32-bit, upped the geometry and textures in the menu, and turned on TC)

I got just under 60 fps. Is this the "universal killer demo" we've been searching for?

seriously tho. It seems INTENSE. I was wondering if everybody took such a hit. I'm talking a good 20 or so fps drop from the basic DM7 demo.

anyways, i figured i wouldn't be playing it much, so i didnt download it. I guess i ought to chock up my d/l queue, even if it is just for benchmarking. Gotta love leaving your connection overnight and have a brother working for that ISP

Dunno yet. Started dl'g it on my USR 56k modem a couple of days ago and its still going.....about 30% done now....It's flying along at 1.7k/sec...lol

Looks like I'll have to wait until it's in the shops....
