I got mine stable 1.43v (bios) all other voltages stock 9x400fsb 3.6GHz! I could boot into windows with 1.45v @ 3.8GHz, but would need more than that for stable operation. This chip is a monster! Im on a TR U120x with twin push pull fans board is Gigabyte P35 DS3-P

70 orthos load is acceptable to me since I am running such a small case with slow fans

well with 40c ambient it's no surprise. When gaming, the heaviest I think I do, my temps never go up as much as they do when running orthos blend, or even small fft's, 70 orthos is rather high though Make sure it doesn't decrease the lifespan of your CPU.

@swtethan- What are tou using to load all 4 cores? @ 3.6 my idle temps are low 30's. I'm thinking I'll need different memory as the asus I'm playing with now, P5K-VM volts only to 2.1, but I'll need to stress all 4 cores to be sure.

Dual copies of Orthos are what most people use to load all 4 cores.

Unless you have set the affinity to do otherwise your stressing core 0 and 1 even with 2 instances running.

the newest version of prime 95 can actualy stress all 4 cours with 1 instance, so thats the easiest best way to do stability testing (though some people have reported orthos/prime stable but problems elsewhere).

I suspect those who have game stability but not orthos/prime actually have underperforming power supplies and when the gpu is at load in addition to the overclocked cpu they are crashing because they cant output enough watts (overclocked/overvolted quads can take more then 200wats by themselves).

I have a nice Q6600 G0 stepping too... 333 x 9 @ 1.1 volts. That's right, overclocked and undervolted at the same time. That's with Ultra-120 eX and a puny 120mm 1100rpm 43cfm fan.

Thanks Capt. Obvious, I appreciate the info.

I'm guessing 44-4800, we'll see if I'm right.

...I just realized how much of a nerd I am...I actually knew that stat.

swtethan, very nice results

I wasn't planning to get a quad for quite a while, but it looks like Retail Edge will feature that in it's bundle, so i may end up with one sometime before Christmas.
