I put the optional settings in ( ). Your ram timings are Real loose, but using the Light setting will help and maybe you can tighten em up some.

As I stated, been playing around with settings and got 8x484 1 hour OCCT Stable last night. It was the Clock Twister set at medium hanging me up, changed it to light and it passed no problem. Cpu volts are 1.29375v in bios, 1.272v idle.

bah, it didn't last.

If I get certain settings dialed in, and leave the others on Auto because it works when there on Auto and crashes when I change them, is this a bad thing? Or is it just using what it needs?

So you have; 1.34vtt and a cpu gtl of 0.680, and are running fairly well at 1.36NB. My formula if you will below pertaining to Your settings.

1.34 x .680 = 0.9112 divided by 1.36 = 0.67 So to break it down,=

vtt x cpu/gtl = TREF divided by NB Voltage = NB GTL So with my theory your NB GTL should be .670

It seems to work out pretty close, at least for my chip. Hope that helps.

Larry

My NB GTL is indeed @ 0.67.

Nice calculating.

What is working on auto that doesn't work when set manually?

And yeah, i'd lower vdimm as our boards overvolt by about 0.08v.

@n7, just for grins, maybe try 0.675 and then 0.680 on the NB GTL. Been doing alot of testing and have come to the conclusion that the vtt overvolts on this board, hence the need for a higher NB GTL.

I have mine running at 3900 right now with a NB GTL of .660 whereas it should be less according to the bios set vtt. May be worth a shot as it is working out here.

I give up. I'm starting over at stock settings and working up slower.
From what I have learned in reading now:

Vcore limit = 1.3625
VTT (FSB Termination?) limit = 1.2~1.3

What other limits should I follow for this chip?

Cpu= 1.37v or so

VTT= 1.37v or so

CPU/PLL= 1.60v

Dram= 1.96v (tops 2.02v),if rated for 2.0/2.1v

NB= 1.40v or so, 1.4v is pushing it without active cooling.

Thats the major ones and Heat of course.
