Can someone tell me if it would be OK to list a OEM version of Windows XP, still sealed, that I purchased at a local comp store at the same time that I purchased a hardware item, or would I also need to offer it along with a hardware item on the forum to keep it "legal"?...or would it be against the rules to offer it at all?

The idea of selling with hardware is pretty open though, could be something really small if I understand correctly.

IIRC, even a floppy drive qualifies...

Thanks to all for the replies...I think that I will give it a try by offering it with a hardware item since I also have several other things that I would like to sell anyway.

The OEM license only applies to - GASP! - OEMs!

Once you have purchased it you are free to re-sell it with hardware, without hardware, or even stuffed inside a dead fish if you think that would help your sale.

As far as I know the limitations on software sale are that they cannot be sold if they are Microsoft NFR, only traded and no sales or trades of Warez.

I dunno, I think Viper GTS is right... you should sell it stuffed inside a dead fish. Hey, it'd be a pretty innovate way to sell software
Just as long as the stores don't start packing software in dead fish though....

I don't eat seafood, can I package things in bad meat? Seems like the verdict is you can sell it without hardware though.

I wonder if a floppy DISK qualifies

A friend of mine sold pencils on e-bay that were $80 and came with a free copy of XP profesional, and E-bay did nothing. It is all in the wording I believe.
