Question about FSB and memory

I understand that classic Athlon only has 200MHz FSB. I have a EPoX EP-7KXA, which supports classic Athlon and PC133 SDRAM. The question is, since the classic Athlon only uses 100MHz FSB, if I put PC133 memory module with it, will the performance the same as I put PC100? Thanks.

it depends if your mother board has have a jumper for running your ram at host clock..(100)..or host clock + or - pci....(66) or (133)..

look in your mother board manual and see if you have a jumper to select the speed your ram runs at....either board speed.."100" or board speed plus 33 which is "133" or board speed minus 33 which is "66"......if you have no choises,(jumpers)...than yes your 133 ram will run at 100

if your motherboard is based on the Via KX133 chipset, there should be either a jumper or option in BIOS to run your memory at either 100 or 133. If it is and AMD 750, you're sort of screwed.

Like the bus speed that it runs?

go here and get "sisoft sandra" a good program that tells you everything you need to know about your system...and some benchmarks too
