Question about logitech z560

I got it about 2 months ago
and yesterday was first time i bumped it almost to the full
and i found that it was making some burning smell

so i was scared it would mess it up
and i chickened out and turned the volume down..

but is it normal??

The amp on the subwoofer does warm up, hence the hefty heatsink on the back. Probably 2 months worth of dust getting the heave ho when you cranked her up

Check how you manage your volume. Dont use volume via the computer only use the breakout box. You may be aproching problems

yeah never put the volume up that high, you'll never need to have it that loud.
highest i've ever personally been is half, but yeah check for dust or something, the heatsink takes care of my heating problems

That loud would physically hurt my ears. My roommate has had his up loud, not that loud though, and we have never noticed any smell from it.
