Hello,
I want to upgrade my gpu and I have couple question.
I decided to buy the GTX560 Ti and now I have dilemma which model to buy.
I have 2 options (I live in ISRAEL so there is no large selection like in the US).
GigaByte GV-N560OC-1GI Or GV-N560SO-1GI-950.
This is my spec:
Processor: Intel Core i7 920 8M Cache, 2.66 GHz, 4.80 GT / s
Motherboard: Intel Desktop Board DX58SO
Memory: G. SKILL 3GB Kit DDR3 PC3-10666 CL9
Graphics Card: Sapphire ATI Radeon HD5450 512MB DDR2
Power Supply: Seasonic SS-500ET (two rail 12v 1. 17A 2. 17A)
Storage: Intel X25-M G2 80GB + Samsung 500GB Spinpoint F3
Case: HEC Compucase 6A19B
Screen: Samsung T220P - Resolution 1920X1200
The only cause of my dilemma is the subject of power consumption.
Is my PSU can handle with one of the GTX560 Ti model + core i7 920 stock?
I prefer the GV-N560SO-1GI-950 but I'm afraid that my PSU will collapse under the effort.
According to this presentation (http://www.businessdirect.bt.com/con..._sales_kit.pdf) the GTX 560 Ti OC is 12% power consumption lower than stock GTX 560 Ti. Does that make sense?
Thank and good day
