Question for college students..

I have never turned in anything done outside of class handwritten. In fact, almost everything I write MUST be typed...handwritten is a huge negative. Think about it this way, would you turn in a big business proposal handwritten?

Instead of being a dick about it, you could ask him to explain the benefits of handwritting a paper. I'd be interested to see what he says.

The only handwritten assignments I ever had in college were written math/econ/stats assignments where LaTeX would have taken too long, and in-class written exams. Everything else, even short responses, were typed out.

this is like when you were in 2nd grade and they told you EVERYONE made you write in cursive... they lied to me then... they're lying to you now...

that's a good point. I can't think of anyone under 50 who used cursive in college or business, except for when signing their names.

stupid cursive. I hate it... it's impossible to read.

My sophomore english teacher in high school made us do that. We only had the resources she gave us, and it had to be 20 pages in 2 weeks. She's a nazi.

Never heard of a situation where an out of class assignment was mandatory to be turned in hand written. I've had classes where papers included repetitive math equations and those were optional to be hand written, but still preferred if typed out.
