Question for Electrical Engineers

hi, i am a newbie in EE. i need an LM317T variable voltage regulator, but ive got an LM337T which is the exact same except the polarity with the voltage is opposite (negative current). Now to turn this into an LM317T positive type regulator all i need to do is chuck the + input of power supply to Vin, and - input to ground. Right?

I don't know. Why don't you try it in a low-load test situation?

ok, ive tested it and it works fine. The output voltage is higher than if i had used the same setup for the LM317, current is 1.89A at no load which is higher than its rated 1.5A.
