Question on Dual-Channel MoBo

Sorry, but I'm a little confused. To take advantage of the Dual-Channel memory do you need two sticks of memory or not? I was thinking of getting a new Dual DDR MoBo. If you just need one, then it's how the MoBo reads the memory that equates to Dual DDR, right? Bear with me guys!!!

Do you think a Dual DDR board is worth it for gaming? I was also looking at the Asus P4PE/GBL.

With the P4G8X, it would be really important to be using the dual-channel memory setup for it to perform as intended, yeah. You would want identical modules in either two slots or else all four. That P4G8X thread up top should help with more info, post in there if you still need more info and I'm sure you'll get good answers
