I might be a hevenistic bastard but I do know there was a women before Eve.
It was Lilith. Adam got rid of her because she demanded to be treated as a equal.

I have no idea what fvck you are talking about

I didn't say all facts are in the bible, I said SHE is not and therefore I do not believe she was Adam's first wife.

I would imagine the term "wife" appears in most accepted translations, but what about the original language? Was the term used in some context or nuance that makes it differ from the current form? For example, did they use a word that meant "mate" or "partner"?

Genesis 3:20
Adam named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living.

Are you people incapable of reading on your own?

OK so if you are saying they were married, who married them?

Who says you need a third party to perform a marriage ceremony? And don't say "it's in the bible", because you obviously haven't read it.

So that means you don't need the state or a minister to be legally married?
I did read it but it's been a long time ago and I keep hearing conflicting stories to what I thought God meant[/quote]

If you live in a garden at the dawn of time, with no state, no laws, and no ministers, WTF does it matter?

Saying they weren't married because it wasn't "legal" is like saying Wilbur and Orville Wright weern't pilots because neither of them had a license.

No she is created as a "help meet/ mate". A helper suitable for him. You choose to equate that with the word wife.

and also male and female were already created in Genesis 1:26

You have no idea how funny that is when you take into account that Lilith was dumped because she refused to bow to Adam.

Actually she refused to take the subservient position which is assumed to be on the bottom.....who knows though it may have been the knees................

Adam also dumped another one because he saw her created............

So Eve was "Wife" number 3?
My god. Adam likes playing around.

Maybe....maybe not. Depends on if you want to believe only one version of Jewish folklore I guess but yes there is a an unnamed 'woman' who Adam didn't want because he saw her as "full of blood and secretions".

There is also a period described in the talmud where Adam fathered a bunch of ghouls.

The tales (1st and 2nd 'wives') were probably created to explain perceived inconsistencies in Genesis though.

He does seem to get around though........

Read here

From your link:

"She is often identified as the first wife of Adam, a legend that arose in the Middle Ages."

Note the bold.

That's hogwash and I don't believe it at all.

I do believe the "wife" from the original text would be closer to "slave/servant", if you did a direct word for word translation.

Flower girls? How about paper bells?

I would say,

Yes. Yes.

Yes. Not necessary, but it was recorded in heaven.

Not sure. Doubt it.

Why would god marry them if he kicked them out of the Garden Of Eden?

Why would He even bother creating them if He knew they would sin?

Your question leads to many other philosophical questions that are best answered OUTSIDE an internet computer forum full of athiests.
