Just setup an exchange lab at home and everything internally works fine. I can send and receive emails to my users on the domain.
I have a domain I have bought, and will be pointing it to a free DNS service at everydns.net.
I have a DSL connection with a 8 port switch and Linksys router. So, I can have the DNS provider point everything to my static IP, but what once the traffic hits my router, what should I forward? Which port? Like for IIS I would point port 80 to whichever PC is running IIS. But what about Exchange?
As you can see, I'm a newbie with Exchange. I know under Linux i would open port 110 and 25 (POP3 and SMTP).
BTW...This is just a lab. I will only be sending emails back and forth with a friend. I wont be using this as my primary email. It will be offline when not in use.
