Soltek SL-K8T890Pro vs. Abit AX8 K8T890...

Which is the better board. Similarly priced. I want some overclocking options and good stability.

I have decided against nforce4... I feel I can trust what VIA makes... they've been used a lot longer then nForce. Plus I feel the VIA will be more compatible with the Venice.

Sooo... yeah... which one boys and girls.

Abit has that Guru technology crap, so you can flash your BIOS in windows automatically (like windows update) and OCguru (OCing through windows). Plus the AX8 looks better.

I may be setting up two computer one for me and one for someone else so we'll see.

I would go with the AX8.

- 100% japanese capacitors;
- uGuru (fan control, OC on the fly with user profiles, etc);
- apparentely overclocks better (max FSB on the Soltek is around 291MHz, we've seen 339MHz on the donnelly's AX8).

These things could be considered unimportant by some people though, and the two boards are very similar. But ABIT gets my vote.
