I'm planning on setting up my desktop to be a VPN server so that i can get to my files and printer when I'm away. I am just going to use the built in Windows XP VPN server.
Questions
1. My client computer is going to be on a huge network that I have absolutely no control over. Is there a possibility that they can block VPN traffic from leaving or is VPN traffic non-specific looking.
2. I get ESPN360(internet TV service) where the VPN is located but not where I'm going to be in a little while. I guess what i am trying to say is there a way I can connect to the web through the xp pro vpn so that it looks like I am looking at those websites from my house computer. I know this is a possibility with hardware vpns but i'm not sure if the windows one allows for just basic filesharing between the two.
I'm stuck with using this and can't try anything else so I just checking on its limitations pretty much.
Thanks
