quiet cheap (good) psu?

My current PSU that came with my case is wayy too loud for me, so I need a cheap power supply that will do fine on my Duron 1.8 for cheapest possible (i have a low budget).

any suggestions are welcome

I have a Forton PSU running my Duron 1.8 Ghz as we speak. It is quiter than my Antec TruPower. This Fortron model runs with only 1 fan. The model # is FSP300-60PN and it is $30 here at Newegg

Well I got one of these akasa PSU's and it's pretty sweet.

However when it arrived the fan grille had been mounted upside down such that the blades of the fan fouled on the grill and made a hideous noise & blocked the fan. Very annoying, but only a 2 minute job to turn it around.

Very quiet now, looks ok (if that even matters) and seems to provide enough power

Sparkle are made by Fortron.

Just look at the model number FSP.... Fortron source...


Fortron are very good power supplies,got one in my duron 1.6 @ 2ghz rig.
