Quiet power supplies for non-surgeons

I really don't want to have to replace fans to get a high-quality, low-noise power supply. Call me silly, but I don't like putting my hands near high-voltage, high-capacitance components.

Based on the word of mouth in other threads, I've been looking at Antec, Enermax and PCP&C models in the 350W-400W range. The PCP&C Silencer 400 ATX and Enermax EG365P-VE(FC) look like higher-quality supplies than the Antec - twice the MTBF, better regulation, and more combined power (3.3V + 5V). The Enermax costs nearly half as much as the PCP&C. However, only PCP&C gives dB(A) information for their PSUs, and I haven't been able to find a side-by-side comparison of these supplies.

Does anybody know where I can find comparable dB(A) numbers for these supplies measured under the same conditions?

I don't know about the dba, but I know that all of the new Enermax FMA models come with a manual fan speed control knob in the back of the power supply. I own two of these, and they are just a tad quieter than my FC whisper.

Also, you may want to check out dealsdirect. I have to admit, their shipping is kind of slow, and the packing isn't as great as newegg cuz they just wrap the PS box with some paper grocery store brown bag style, but their prices are very good. I've ordered both my FCs from them, even though the boxes were wrapped in brown paper it came in 1 piece via USPS from Canada.

Zalman also do a PSU - might want to check them out. Most of their products are v. quiet.
