Radeon LE & NFS5 Problem

i get this error right before i start any race when i try to play nfs5. at first i thought it was maybe becuz i had directx8... but that shouldn't matter. should it? does anyone know how i can fix this? i searched google to see if there were any patches, but i have not had any success. all i got was something from hardocp... which told me to set the z-buffer to 16:24:32... or something like that. i set that in the d3d properties, but i still get that same error. anyone have a resolution for this? your help would be greatly appreciated. thanx!

Run in 16bit color.

You need to go into the driver properties under the Direct 3D tab and change "Z buffer bit depths" from '16,24' to '16,24,32' and it will work with 32 bit color.

This is on the ATI website, do a search for "game issues" .

Also, you will have to de-select "compressed texture format" and check "Alternate pixel center"

thanx for the reply peeps the problem was actually pretty dumb. i did set the z-buffer in the d3d properties tab. but i did not reboot.. so i was still getting errors. after a reboot... everything was smooth sailing
