Radeon X1800 replacement fan

I was getting some atrocious fan noise from my computer and thought it was the heat sink on the CPU. Turns out it's the fan on the video card, a Radeon X1800GTO. Is there a replacement, third party fan available? Any recommendations?

The Arctic Cooling ATI Silencers are pretty decent and relatively inexpensive, just make sure you get the right one for your card!

Arctic Cooling Accelero X2, cheap and does the job very well. I'm using one on my X1900 XT with no problems at all.

COOLER MASTER Cool Viva Pro performs very well, if it supports your card, go for it. It worked wonders for my 7900gs. Apparently it's quieter, better performing thermally, and cheaper. It's very space consuming along with more difficult to install, I believe.

You probably already know but most of the aftermarket coolers do cost about 30 bucks and the x1800 gto is now like... 150...
I wouldn't spend too much on the cooler, just get something that does the job.

The V1 doens't look to bad, but they also have the Accelero in stock. I guess Acceleros are teh successors of the ATI/NV Silencers...

Hrm...

All things considered - if it was me - I'd replace the whole fan setup with a:

Arctic Cooling Accelero X2 - $17.95

These things are rather uninspiring, out of the box, because they're designed to be quiet.

Keep the fan kicked up to high and you'll be pleasantly surprised!!!

They're cheap, look good, easy to install, and work great (given enough airflow)...
