Well, if it was successfully unlocked, performance is fairly identical. But if you consider OC, the winner is X800GTO because while R430 (XL) can OC only around 470, R423/R480 (GTO) can OC beyond 500 more likely.

Whew, i had to restrain myself from starting a new thread with that hot deal!

To the thread on hand, I don't recall nVidia giving a $100 rebate for purchasing two cards to use in SLI.
But like others have said, this has been posted before and it's a good deal if you get two cards for using in Crossfire.
