You know, until you posted that, Ive never even heard of them. I happen to be a fan of eclectic English bands going back to my first Gary Numan alblum I bought in 1980 (Ive since bought most of them as theyve been released over the last 26 years).

I might have to give these guys a little attention.

You have no idea what you have been missing. They have been around for a long long time. If you want to talk radiohead, please send me a PM. I only heard of them when Amnesiac came out which was 2 albums ago, I have been totally obsessed since.

If you havent heard anything else I would start off with OK Computer. Its their most well known album and frequently makes it to the top of the best albums of all time.

The thing about radiohead is that they always change. Pablo Honey, and The bends are like rock. Okcomputer is kinda out there. Kid A is really electric..Amnesiac is even more out there, and then they have of mix of it all in Hail To The Theif..their newest album

sorry..once i start takling about radiohead I cant stop..

heh PM if you want.

Hey you, KP, you might be able to answer my question.

The song, "No Surprises", is an absolute beauty. Is that a remake/cover? Or is the melody from an older song? The only reason I ask, is because in "Garden State", there's a scene where a lady is singing a song at a Funeral. And I think it has the same melody as "No Surprises", or it might have even been the same exact song. So, do you know anything else about that song? Been driving me crazy, and I've googled it!!

Thanx.

Mentions nothing about a remake..and radiohead kinda sticks to making orignal stuff.

Wasnt the song at the funeral of Garden State "Once Twice Three Times a lady" or something like that?

Sorry I couldnt be more help but I really dont think its a copy of anything...

Yeah, you're probably right. I just remembered the melody being very similar to Radiohead. If I ever find anyone with the DVD, I'll take a look.

Thanx.

That's one of my favorite songs - actually I have it as the ringtone on my phone. I was lucky enough to see Radiohead on tour in support of OK Computer in 1997, at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in SF. Awesome show.

To the best of my knowledge this is a completely original song, and the melody is original to Radiohead.

Yeah, I actually first heard the song on a totally random compilation, "Ministry of Sound - The Annual Chillout, 2002", the very last track on CD2. It was such a beauty, and a great way to end that compilation.

I was at that show last night in Copenhagen...really really good. The live stuff was good, for the most part, and they played some rare tracks (Black Star and Let Down hadn't been played since 1998).
