I don't post often, but read a fair bit in here. I'm probably one of the minority of people with floating opinions - I used to think I knew what I thought, but then other people make convincing points and I don't know what I think on many things any more.
I think the arguments that break out are inevitable. When something is "obvious" to me, but somebody else can't or won't see it, it is naturally frustrating. Ultimately I don't think you can go onto a forum like this and expect to change anyone's mind. If you can just help someone to see something from a different angle for a moment, and somebody thinks about what they've already decided they think, maybe that's worthwhile.

rage and anger are a conservatives behavioral characteristic. it comes from their insistence of politicizing their fears and feelings into public policy. And they are further frustrated when they are judged by their results rather then their intentions. From a conservative point of view, intentions are everything. Results are secondary.
