Raid 0 + ICH9R?

Hey guys!

I have a Gigabyte X48 DS4 with ICH9R, and I had a quick question about the max transfer rate...since the board only supports the SATA 2.0 3gb/sec standard...will I be capped at 300mb/sec when having 2 SSD's in Raid 0? Or does it use the bandwidth from each channel?

I guess if I'm being limited by the south bridge, i might as well go with a nice single drive like the Intel X25-M (250mb read) and it'll nearly max me out anyway?

It's per channel, but I wouldn't go over 2-3 ssds in raid-0. ICH9R maxes out at ~650mb/s.
