RAM Compatible

I have an ASUS P6T Deluxe mobo. I currently have 3 x 1 gb Corsair kit (1333mhz). Two questions. Is the following RAM kit compatible with my current mobo and RAM:
G.SKILL 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

Two, How will 3 gb RAM at 1333 be affected (or vice versa) by adding 1600mhz RAM to the other triple channel

Goal is to be at 9 gb and hope RAM runs independent on each channel. Or, do I need to get a RAM kit at 1333mhz for the other 6 gb?

You could combine the two ram kits and have everything running at the lower RAM speed (1333mhz). Since the i7 is not starved for memory bandwidth anyway, you won't notice any performance loss from 1600 down to 1333.

You would need to populate each Channel with (1) 1GB module and (1) 2GB module, effectually operating 3GB per channel.
