1st wanna say hi. Been quite some time since i posted since most of the time I find my answers before posting.
That said, here's my issue. I got an e8400 and an Asus P5Q3. I am looking for RAM (mine fried), I am not sure what speed they were. Anyway, is there a point of going with ram higher than 1333-10666 since my e8400's fsb is 1333? The board says is supports 2000(O.C.)/1600/1333/1066/800 for ram and up to 1600 for fsb. What does o.c. mean, overclocked? Where would the bottleneck be?
Assuming I want to get another board, (this one's been kinda' ify). What combo of board and ram would u get? Lots of gaming, video encoding and multitasking, no overclocking. Not looking to spend millions but the best $/performance and upgradeablity on the board would be nice.
I use these sites for products mostly but willing to try others, Canada sucks for availability.
