Im using the DFI UT nF3 250Gb 754 socket board with a 3400+. I want to upgrade from a 2700 512 stick to a gig of 3500 or so ram. Now, im wondering what would be faster, one stick of 1024, or 2x512 sticks.
Ok so the S754 boards are not dual channel, but the S939 are. Is there a significant difference in gaming performance (since thats mostly what my pc is for) between 2x512 on the 939, or one stick 1024 on the 754? Just wondering if its worth it to upgrade to a S939 system.

1gb sitcks usually have higher latencys than 2x512's but since latency is not very important on an A64 its not a big deal. IMO dual channel is not worth it on A64's so I would stick with what you have right now as you will not see a major improvement.
