also...can you give me a link to a working crytek x isle? i tried the sticky but some files were corrupt or something in the zip file..

Shimmishim:

Those corrupt files you keep running into are from you using (raid OR having both drives) on the sata controller of you NF7-S.

I've tried using the sata controller card on my nf7-7 with no sucess. I've tried it with raid 0, raid 1, with different drives all with data corruption. Just recently i tried it with both drives using the sata converters on some ibm gxp180's NON raid. Installed xp without a hitch and thought everything was going fine till i downloaded 3dmark03 onto the secondary master hard drive. Installed fine, but when i tried to run it said file was corrupt. Re dl'ed it to the primary master hard drive and it worked fine. So i'm left with only using one drive else i get data corroption on the other one.

Sorry for the long story, but i bet your using either 2 drives on the sata or running raid.

great work shimmishim! you've been really busy lately with all your tbreds, memory, and watercooling. didn't you also have some hyperx memory? how did that work out for you? i'm really considering getting 1gb of memory, but i'm having such a difficult time deciding now that prices are similar. kingston hyperx 3200, twinmos/winbond, and corsair xms3200c2 are pretty much the same price for 512 sticks. twinmos used to be the no brainer since it was less, but now i can't decide. what do u think?

interesting read

you will also find adding more vdd voltage on abit nf7s allows you tighter memory timings

yeah.. i dunno what happened.. the price of the twinmos/winbond sky rocketed...

my pc3000 hyperX was fine...

it could do 2-2-2-6 @ 193 mhz ... i tried 200 but that was on my 8rda+ before it died... and 200 didn't work cuz of the vdd voltage.

some people are being able to do 2-2-2-6 @ 200 so... the hyperx is good.

if the prices are all the same... then go for the cheapest one i guess... i'd prolly stick with the corsair or the twinmos/winbond...

see if you can find out what ram chips the hyperx uses... i never removed the blue heat spreaders so i have no idea..

i would probably go with the cheapest, but they're all within $2 of each other! googlegear has the hyperx for $113, xmsc2 for $114, and i can get some twinmos/winbond for $115. all prices shipped. it's driving me nuts. i've been on some many forums trying to read on people's experiences, but none seem to be alot better or worse than the other.
