If you're asking for help list everything you've got
inside your computer. Also describe problem with more details.

EDIT: You can use Latin ,no translation needed.

Also, let us know if you are overclocked or whatever is running when your computer does these mentioned things.

PIII-800EB (Slot FC-PGA, 133MHz FSB)
SuperMicro 370SSA
Voodoo 3 3500 TV AGP
Orange PC FireWire Card
128MB of PC133 MEM (Generic. I have 256 really, but I took one of the strips out because it is only reading at 64MB, another problem I have to confront.)
Linksys 10Base-T NIC
Windows 2000 SP1 and all of the updates.
No Overclocking (SuperMicro... Extreamly stable, but not tweakable)

That wrong memory count is indicative of BIOS problem.
Update BIOS to latest version. If you do have latest already
reset CMOS(load BIOS defaults).

Vrangler... I think it is the strip:
i have strip a in right now.. it reads at 128mb.. if i put and b in.. i have a total of 192mb.. however.. it should be 256mb.. if i put just strip b in.. i have 64mb of ram.
so i think it is the strip.... if you know what it maybe specificaly in the bios that i could change perhaps.. but i don't think there are any bios updates for the board yet.. supermicro makes there own bios's.. and this board isn't more than 3 months old ..

As I understand you have soft audio. Its possible system becomes overloaded
while processing sound. Disable sound in BIOS (or there might be a jumper on mobo).
See if pauses go away.

Also download and install latest chipset drivers from Intel.
Its ver. 25a (SuperMicro only has ver. 21a so far).
Unzip to separate folder and click on 'setup'. After reboot OS will reinstall drivers.

yeah.. i'm ussing the onboard soundcard... i do have the latest drivers.. i can't be sure that it does it only when i have sound playing.. i've noticed it when there is no sound though...like if i'm modeling or soemthing. or even browsing the web. it also doesn't do it all of the time. i've played music for hours, and there will be no skipping, and then all of a sudden it will do some extreme skipping and stuff.
i do have a seperate soundcard.. but windows 2000 won't boot when i have it in.. it's weird. maxi sound fortissimo by guillimont... i have to go into safemode to get the drivers to install and then it works for a little bit. then doesn't boot.

1.You have to disable onboard sound either in BIOS or OS.
After that install soundcard.
(Your onboard sound is not a chip, its all done in software).

2.The point in updating chipset drivers is to force fresh install.

3. There is a jumper on mobo to clear CMOS.

Look ,when troubleshooting you gotta start somewhere.
Pessimism alone wont get you anywhere. Please do all
those things and report results.

Do you get a 'click' from your harddrive when the computer freezes for the second? I had something like that just before harddrive failure.
