I suspect there are a couple of problems here:
1) It's a fan failing. As they get worn they get loose in their sleeve and are susceptible to massive resonance spaz at a certain speed. Back in the day of dumb fans it was more likely at startup/shutdown as the fan passed over this certain speed.
2) something else.

Edit: I read the thread yesterday and forgot you said the noise was during startup. It's a fan. I lived with one for months and it's one of the few situations where kicking your computer will actually help

No crashes. I have it at every vblank.

Meh. It won't screencapture.

The facts that it doesn't crash when you reduce load by enabling Vsync and that you're getting graphical corruption suggest to me that your GPU is probably going bad. Check the fan to make sure it's still spinning, but I'll bet the sustained aggressive OC killed it (such are the perils of overclocking).

I thought voltage free oc was safe. :\
It's a near silent card, never goes over 65c with the cold weather. Ah well, it needs to be retired anyway. I just wish I had money, being 15 has it's pitfalls. I am looking at the 280x as I doubt I'll ever see a 7950 again, they go out of stock so quick. Maybe next gen if it survives that long.

Well, the noise is back. D: I do not see any fans hitting wires. It was silent, then started once I turned my fan speed up to 65% (I have to with the case) then it sounded like the offending fan stopped once I turned it down to 30%. But now it is back up at 65 and it is fine. (I changed the white ones speed.)

EDIT: Yes, the fans are spinning, I was taking action shots with the camera earlier though.

A bad bearing will cause a fan to make horrible noises until you replace it. I just replaced a couple of fans in my system because they do wear out.

It is less than a year old, but has been running 100% for that long on and off. *sigh*

Buddy, just read my post about the noise. I'm not wrong.

You have to work out which fan is wobbly, or just replace them all.
