It wasn't wrong to get it all together now, but that should only be a guideline. If you keep an eye on the tech market, read anandtech and the forums here, and post a thread about it in early september you'll be in a much better place to make a well-informed judgement and end up with a solid, value-for-money system.
I notice you've allocated $150 for "labor to build computer"? I would just say that you should seriously consider building it yourself. Not only is it a really interesting learning experience, but then you'll be in a better place to troubleshoot whatever goes wrong with it if you're familiar with it. A forums user called mechBgon has a great guide on building a PC at www.mechbgon.com and you can certainly google for other guides as well.
