"The Fort Worth Star-Telegram says it incorrectly cited Bush critic Bill Burkett saying he had discussed the descredited CBS documents with Kerry campaign adviser Joe Lockhart.

In a correction, the paper reported Burkett was referring to CBS, not Lockhart, when he said, "They tried to convince me as to why I should give them the documents."

Now it's time to jump on that news source's mistake and demand a resgination from somebody there. LMAO

I'm not as inclined to believe this is Rove's handiwork as I was at first. No, I think we can assume these memos were probably real. The problem, I suspect, is the originals are no longer suitable for publication for some reason. Perhaps they have been annotated in a way that would identify a source, or perhaps someone hand-copied the originals. Either way, the leaker needed clean copies to publicize them. Unfortunately, he made one really dumb mistake. It was all the Bushies needed to divert attention from the real stories.
