uhm, it all comes down to what your "grip" is.
are you a claw gripper or palm gripper? for me, i can't stand palm grip mice as i only like to use my fingertips to move the mouse.

I'm a Logitech mouse man myself. But at the store I work at a lot of people seem to like the Deathadder. Steel Series also makes good mice. The Ikari feels really nice to hold.

depends on the game, but for sure for FPS games.
That's why he needs a Mamba, it's both wired and wireless.

It's also malarkey that you can't game on a wireless mouse
I used to game on wireless, only because it was convenient. I didn't quite want to have to run 15ft cables around the room.
All wireless combos have went to shit in only a fraction of the lifespan I've gotten out of wired hardware.
Have had MX518 for 4 years. Have had 3 wireless mice go bad in that same amount of time, while the 518 is still going strong.

It's not just FPS. But any game where you would find need of that extra reliability, whether single or multiplayer. I had wireless combo shit out on me, in the middle of raid tanking, back in the WOW days. That did not look good, at all. Wasn't able to get new stuff in, until a week later. Never did fully recover from my suckfest that night either. They held it against me until I stopped raiding altogether a few months later.
Even then, I should have realized to go wired-only, but still didn't until about a year ago.
I've come to realize that, reliability far outweighs convenience.

That's funny. I've had a lot of problems with wired mice--mostly with the cords shorting out after a year or two of use.

The Mamba has served me well for over a year. No issues at all.

If price is an issue, I agree that the MX518 is just legendary at this point.
