I think it's only a GUI option with the CCC, but a registry key with the CP (defaults to Low in both cases, AFAIK).

I'm never installing the bloatware known as CCC, but I use a program called Ati Tray Tools, and it has all the options and tweaks that you can imagine, including the catalyst ai option.

I don't see a reason for me to upgrade , the X800XL VIVO that I have is as good as it gets for the money. and if I needed that extra performance in the future I might buy a crossfire card in a year or so once they are really cheap and sit on that setup for another year or two, I am just tired of getting that latest hardware it's getting too expensive.

I have lost faith in the Graphics industry after the ATI X850XTPE shortage and how the market was turned into a joke with cards reaching prices of $ 700 which now are only worth $ 390 barley , and the awful Nvidia image quality which is only IMO, I had a 6800ultra and I sold it ASAP after I got my hands on an X800XL but now I am most probably going to sell the X800XL and kiss gaming and the heavy spending goodbye and might scratch that Crossfire setup goodbye I am very happy with my system ATM even without my fancy card.
