Woot! Already got checks for two of the three Staples rebates from Black Friday and the third says that the check was printed on the 8th. Despite their Easy Rebate problems, I'll take a turnaround of under two weeks any day.

Still waiting on my Office Max Mad Dog rebate for 15.00 from July 13th, 2004. I sent two in that day, one for 40.00 for a Mad Dog DVDRW and 15.00 for a Mad Dog 5.1 soundcard. I waited until Nov 10th and I called about both saying it's way beyond 6-8 weeks as said on the rebate form. The CSR said she would put both of these to an escalation dept and I would have my checks in 7-10 days (business days I guess). I called again on the 23rd since it had now been 9 business days, and asked where's my money. She said I need to give the full 10 business days and if I don't get a check to call back. I gave these morons another week and I called on the 30th. The CSR told me it's already in the escalation dept and I have to wait. I replied no I don't. Now give me your supevisor since you and I are done here.

I finally got someone after being on hold for 10 minutes and this supervisor was very apologetic for all the time and confusion and so forth but I also need to wait some more. I refused and told here I am getting tired of phone calls, lies, the run around's and the lot. I told her I want my money, now. It's been over 20 weeks and that this rebate house better get me my checks. She changed her tune and said she will personally get my account to the proper people. That was the best I had heard so I gave her benefit of the doubt. I checked the rebatehq.com website the next day (Dec 1st) and the check for the 40.00 DVDRW rebate was issued but the 15.00 sound card rebate was not. You can try, but there's a very, very good chance that the rebates are closed out and the programs no longer exist, which means no funds to pay out.



I sent all three of them in, its just taht i havent heard from them for a long time. And if i can do anything about it... What would i do??

What number did you call? I've been waiting for just as long as you have for the $40. Also, did Office Max email you a tracking number for your rebate; I never got one myself.

i got my mad dog rebate for $40 last week. it took a long time, that's true, but i received it. maybe you will soon, too.

After seven weeks of having a valid rebate, the Seagate rebate said mine was invalid for... wait for it... INVALID SERIAL NUMBER!

I think I'm going to be calling that phone number when I get home.

I called the number on the rebate form. I entered my rebate through the OM website so I had a tracking number generated automatically. The number is 1-888-808-5935. You have to listen to the prompts and when you can't go any further, hit 0 repeatedly and you will eventually get transferred to a point where you're waiting for a CSR and after 5 minutes a CSR will answer.

Just called, somehow the "S" was typed in as an "8", and even after it got corrected they couldn't validate it. The rep had to forward it to another team to look into it, and it will be another 7-10 buisness days.

Edit:
10PM update. It's back to valid, meaning they would send a check in 7-10 days.

Cendyne? Remember Cendyne? Mad Dog's behavior regarding honoring their rebates is exceeding similar to Cendyne's now. Be warned and stay away from their products if you're only buying them for the after-rebate price.

Is your rebate listed at rebateshq.com? Because if it is, you don't need a tracking number. All the rebates I've sent it by mail (without online registration), I am pretty sure I never received a tracking number by email. The only time I received tracking numbers was for the pre-registration online rebates, such as the one I did with OM/Mad Dog.

As long as you're listed at the Maxrebates.com (rebateshq.com) they should be able to find you.

Concerning still outstanding rebates for 3 Seagate HD's I bought over the summer, I got 3 emails on Sept. 22, 2004 saying they'd received my rebate submission. Clicking today on the link it says my rebate is approved and ready for processing. Those emails came 12 weeks ago. I just sent an email to rebates@parago.com asking what's up. While I was at it I asked about my Star Wars Trilogy $15 through coconuts.com (Transworld Entertainment). I sent that in 2 months ago and have gotten no word and the link at www.rebateshq.com doesn't show anything for me. I submitted an online request for help in the matter at the site.

I'm waiting for my Seagate Rebate as well. Stupid thing has said processing, and all that jazz for about two months now.

I'll try to follow up with what you all reccomended.

These bastages, I hate this crap.

Hopefully you have copies of everything you submitted. They will ask you to send them if they can't find your submission. By the way, my 15.00 check was issued today for the Mad Dog 5.1 channel card. This is the last Mad Dog rebate I ever deal with.
