Received my Vertex 3

FYI, don't install the Intel RST software. It'll freeze your PC up with a Vertex 3. The freeze-ups stopped once I uninstalled it.

Yea I saw anands review, the random reads were low because it is a lower capacity drive. I really had high hopes for this drive.

Now I don't know what SSD to get. I want a 120 gig or a 128 gig one, I just don't know which.

Go get that Crucial 128GB C300 for 200.00 at NewEgg and be done with it.

I am more happy today about my decision to go with the Crucial C300 128GB drive a few weeks ago. I really thought the Vertex 3 was going to crush it, but it seems that is not the case. Plus I really dislike OCZ as a company for the tactics they used on the Vertex 2.

I felt it was time to spend some dough on a SSD as It was time to reduce the bottleneck in the data storage area. All I wanted was to help my system perform better, quicker and hopefully reliable. I do have 2 OCZ SSD's (1 Agility2, 1 Vertex2) and they are working just fine. I don't beat the hell out of them so hopefully they should last quite a while. I also just purchased the C300 and it performs very well. So, the only thing I expected out of them is to work, keep working and help my system to be that much better in the long run.
