I will second Gungrave and Elfen Lied, and probably Trigun too (although I'm not sure if Trigun is what the Op is looking for). Gungrave was awesome, every time I meet someone named Brandon I automatically think "BBRRRRRRR RANNNNDONNNNNN" yell, with the japanese rolled R. my boss's name is brandon and it's :awe: Elfen Lied was great too, short and sweet.

The scene in the elevator? That's always stuck in my mind too . Although, it's more of a "buuuurandon!" given that Japanese wouldn't pronounce a 'b' and a 'r' together.

Trigun isn't a bad show... some good action and I think it's a bit more memorable if you can connect more with Vash because of how pure he is. My favorite episode has always been Hard Puncher (episode 5... the one with the Nebraska family).

EDIT:

The Gungrave video game for the PS2 isn't too bad either... kind of one of those infinite ammo shoot-em-ups.
