Recommendations on PCI IDE Controllers?

I'm looking for a good but affordable pci ide controller, I ran out of space on my current system. Do you guys have any recommedations for something good that won't break the bank? Also, do you guys know any good mid-tower cases with plenty of 3.5 bays as opposed to 5 1/2 bays? I have a huge full tower case now with too many 5 1/2 bays I wanna replace but I need as many 3.5 bays as I can find. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Why don't you use brackets to get your 3.5" drives into your 5 1/4" bays?

a Promise PCi IDE card will give you 4 more IDE attachments, I have one works great, and you can get 5.5-3.5 drive bay mounts

have 2, can do raid, but it works with optical drives and anything else i've thrown at it. plus its cheap. they raised the price 2 bux... bah. i think it was because i posted it in the 80gb hotdeal thread when someone asked for a controller, and i guess they got flooded with sales. still better then ebay prices which end up atleast 25bux after the outrageous shipping/handing costs. this place is free shipping, i haven't found a better price.

The Promise Contoller is certainly good, but you might also want to consider upgrading your motherboard (depending on your current system). Most of the newer high-end motherboards have an additional IDE controller on them that supports JBOD. This may not necessarily the best solution for your situation, but something to consider in light of that fact that the Promise ULTRA133 TX2 controller is $45 and will take up a PCI slot.
