The innovation i think comes from the increased, and never before seen, level of realism. Correct me if i'm wrong guys...

What about Operation: Flashpoint?

When you get shot in the leg, for instance, do you start limping, or is your aiming accuracy decreased because of injuries or fatigue? There was also bleeding and other crippling injuries. Op Flash had that level of realism, and yet was one of the most fun games I've ever played. At least Op Flash was advertised as a combat sim, so you knew what you were getting.

Lonyo, or anyone else that can answer my question; I take you know quite a bit about the game? On the infantry weapons, do the bullets drop over a certain distance? Since it's a simulation game, I would imagine so. If it does, do all the weapons bullet drop equally or varies? Also, do you have to lead your target?

Been trying to figure that out, had MG-42 and didn't notice, but then with rifle on a non moving target I don't think I ever hit the guy.

I also found this bit of useful info:

In your RedOrchestra.ini (located in \Steam\SteamApps\%username%\red orchestra\System), you will find these lines of code near the top of the file:

All you have to do, is set it so that OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice is the only one without a semicolon, like so:

Hey Supafly thanks for the resolution changing help. I went from 1024x768 to 1280x720. It is an improvement. I was wondering if you know how to make custom resolutions for other games such as counterstrike or Day of Defeat. I have a Syntax Olevia 32 inch HDTV it is the mode HVE and has a native res of 1366x768. I run both Cstrike and DOD at 1280x720 or something with 16:9 enabled. It looks pretty good but I was wondering if I could do the native for my TV. I also am running windows at 1280x720. I tried to create the custom res in Nvidia toolbar thing but it wont work. I have a EVGA 7800gt. Thanks

I am not to happy about this game, I am glad I did not buy it, had a chanse to play before that... At first when i saw screenshots and watched videos and read reviews game sounded nice... but in reality it sucks completly... I am sad... what a waste of good idea for ww2 game.. sounds nice but when you get to play its a big NO to what you think it would be.

Ohh well, there are planty of other games to play..

This game doesn't sound like its for me. I honestly enjoy a reasonable mix of arcade and "realism" in my FPS. I'm done with the flying rocket jumping quake play, but I'm not up for quite this level of realism, at least not yet.

Yes, they do. The game has realistic ballistics.

I have to say, I absolutely love RO. Playing StalingradKessel has been more fun the probably any otehr game I've played. There are few thigns as satisfying as taking out 3 people in a row with an SVT-44 while they're shooting at you with rifles (and missing).

And as the the having to click to rechamber a bullet, it was a much requested feature during the days of RO as a mod. As Lonyo mentioned, being forced to rechamber a bullet after each shot meant you were stuck being unable to run significantly longer than was necessary. And its not like double clicking is that hard.

RO is a game you really have to play for a bit to get to love. I played it a bit during the mod days, didn't like it, and didn't play it for a while. I picked it up probably half a year and after playing it for a while, grew to love it. RO is even better, so now this is my game of choice.

heh, i was playing this again a little bit trying to find something i like about and i was driving a tank. i came upon this little wooden fence and it stopped my tank dead in its tracks. so much for realism, lol.

anyway, i still can't get into this game at all. been playing practice mode thinking i just need to practice more but nope, all my original complaints are still valid.

Egh, I for one think the mod was/is much better than this piece. I don't remember which release I played..2 or 3...but I remember it being much better than this. In fact, i loved it.
