Those proposals are not free, nor would they be paid with just tax dollars. I would go further into depth on it but you are a very shallow person and statements like this convinced me long ago that anything beyond what I have stated is a complete waste of my time. Hell, even if it was free shit that is being paid for with tax dollars, unlike the Republican tax cuts that are going to raise our debt a fuckton or two, at least the people allegedly targeted for the "free stuff" actually need it.

You are more concerned about brown and poor people getting help than you are about the debt going up.

Oh no not billionaires. The tax cut was an unwise and fiscally irresponsible thing to do and I’ve never defended it. The focus has to be spending cuts and then when that’s under control and debt paid down tax cuts. The "billionaires" and the rest of us weren’t handed free cash, the government just took less of what was already ours. Downside is no compensating cut in spending so all the largesses of the government were put on our kids credit card. Exactly as the Dems are promising to do. The end result is the same, the credit card balance keeps going up as we indulge ourselves one way or another.

It's the typical conservative dodge where the conservative congressman brings the government bacon home to their voters all the while decrying people sponging off of the government dole. It allows them to sound fiscally conservative and it allows their voters to enjoy the tasty government bacon while yelling about irresponsible government spending.

Kind of how once it was apparent it would pass without their votes, more than a few Republicans loaded up the ACA with stuff that would benefit their state and then voted against it. I expressed my opinion that the promises being made to greatly increase spending by the Dem candidates will increase the debt burden of our children, the thing he was attacking the right on. That thought originated out of my brain.

I was absolutely against the tax cuts because that should only be done after we get spending under control and pay off on what we owe, but you’re implying that he debt won’t go up and my kids won’t be hating their parents for the indulgences of the current generation just like the boomers screwed us over now. Honestly, they probably will. But she will have gotten healthcare, and education, and equality for that price. All things well worth the cost. Right now we have the highest debt any country has ever had, mostly run up by wars started by Republicans, and what has she gotten for that credit card bill but the misery of millions? So, yes we will have to pay for the things that the Democrats promise. But they are things worth paying for. Republicans spend money we don't have and we get nothing in return.

Now now there is no reason to talk about any President before Obummer because everyone knows that before him we had zero National Debt and he put $20 Trillion on the credit card in 8 years. I know that in order for this to be true I have to ignore the last 70 years of history but that is what the right is good at doing.
