removable mobo tray

I made up my mind, and decided to build a PC myself. I've read some reviews on some cases and many of them look nice and they seem to mention removable motherboard tray a lot... like "keep in mind, this case does not have a removeable mobo tray..."

I mean they make them sound like it's really important, but is it really?
All I'm looking for is a case that looks good, and is easy to put stuff in

Yeah man, they do help a lot. They're not a MUST, but say you're installing a huge heatsink like the thermalright xp-120 (HUGE) - you'd have a pretty hard time reaching in there and trying the squeeze it in.

My case doesn't have one, but it was large enough to give me soem room to work with. (Although I do admit, having a tray would have saved me a lot of time).

If you're not on a budget, check out the CoolerMaster WaveMaster ($130 without a powersupply) - excellent case. Steel, removable motherboard tray, highly finished, and high quality.

One of the cheapest cases with a tray are the Lian Li PC-60's (Correct me if I'm wrong, Im not 100% sure about this, if its teh cheapest).

Cases with trays generally tend to be slightly more expensive than one without a tray.

A lot of those "X-GAMER-WING-ALIEN-SUPER-Z" cases don't generally have those - but I'm being a hypocrite when I criticize these kinds of cases becuase I have an NZXT Guardian.

Just install the heatsink before you put the motherboard in the case.

I love my Wavemaster's removable mobo tray... that feature more than makes up for a lot of the other things I don't like about the case.

It helps so much, esp. when installing a HSF like the XP90/120 like mentioned above.

Kingwin 424 series is a nice case that has a tray and is mostly toolless and is heavier Al than most and has rubber hard drive mounts and has a fan controller. Not too expensive for all of that. I also like the Silverstone Berkerker, but I think Newegg just ran out and it's been discontinued so...

If you plan on upgrading in the future, you can't go wrong with a tray. It just helps save time, that's all.

my antec slk3000b doesnt have a tray but it has a lot of room to work in so it didnt really matter to me

well, price is a problem of course, maybe less than $100 shipped

and I saw a video on it, and the whole thing literally slides out!:Q
so anyone reconmend some cases?
removable mobo tray, would be nice if there's no side window cause the pc will be sitting to the right of my desk but I can live with a side window...
