On my VGA cable, a pin broke, is it possible to just replace an individual pin, or the whole connector, or maybe the whole cable?
Is this an easy job to do myself?
Or is it better to take it somewhere?
Buy a new connector, cut the end of the wire and refit, unfortunately there is no other way. Some connectors require you having to solder the wires onto the pins and some are just like a plug, a simple screw in.
Did you break the pins or just notice that some are missing? There are a number of pins on a VGA cable that are not used and often monitor companies just don't have them there.
You can replace the end, but before you do anything, you should get a pin-out diagram for your specific model. There are many fine wires inside and they have to go to the correct pin. You should also be fairly proficient with a soldering pencil/iron as most (not all) connections will need to be soldered.
