I've been having problems with my old Antec HCP-1200 PS so I contacted Antec CS and they sent me a Antec HCP-1300 for free (nice of them). The thing is, while the HCP-1200 has the exhaust fan blowing out, the HCP-1300 has the fan facing upward or downward inside the case (depending upon how you position it).
I have a HAF-X case. Right now on top all my top fan spaces are currently taken, as well as in the back, and I'm not even sure if it would fit properly without moving the motherboard down (which is a whole project in and of itself).
I have two 980Tis with ACX 2.0 cooling (fans which circulate air inside the case). Would it be OK to put the PS at the bottom with the PS fan pointing up towards the GPU's fans?
Edit- I just read the manual closely- I can position the PSU either up or down. It's on carpet (albeit on casters). I guess since I installed my own fans it would be best to install the fan face down, and just clean the filter every so often.
Still- My original question remains- would it be OK to blow air on the GPU fans?
