Bush was selected not elected. He stole his way into the presidency. The biggest fraud in history goes to a Republican with character. Hehe. Not too swift for the moral elite to have a guy who can't win an election. Imagine how many millions of our children are gonna grow up thinking it's OK to cheat and steal. Bush makes Clinton look like a priest. Every time Bush goes on TV he looks the American people in the eye and pretends to be President.

There goes Red Dawn spouting his unfounded bullcrap. I've corrected your complete misunderstandings about the Republicans so many times you should be dizzy! Stick to specifics and you loose the argument near everytime, but you continue to spout off without saying anything specific....too bad you are blinded by your own fallicies....and you wonder how you are continually labeled a Liberal?

Here's a factoid....In both the House and Senate there are more Democrats that are millionaires than Republicans by a wide margin.

Moonbeam,

That's crazy talk especially << Bush makes Clinton look like a priest. >>. You lost all credibility with that statement alone. Bush is president, he was elected, he has yet to be involved in any presidential scandal, he's moving forward. At least wait until he actually messes up.

As the Ds like to say, "it's behind us now, the country wants to move on..."

Red you are so pathetic. Ever tried getting to the point without insults?

And Ted Kennedy not pretending he is something he is not? Like Innocent?

Puh-lease. You are so out of touch it isn't even funny.

Kennedy lecturing anyone on the law is simply ludicrous. But he does, guess you missed that, huh?

I'm not calling you a liberal. Just out of touch.

Well,

I've always categorized Republicans as being the "certain point of view" party. That is, if you look at the issues from a certain point of view, they seem to be "Right".

Whereas the democrat party tries to be the "Right" thing for all people. But, that never works out either. As the saying goes, You can't be all things for all people.

I'm a registered independant voter. I voted for Bush Sr, but not Bush Jr, for reasons that I just didn't think he was qualified. My own leanings these days are true liberal, and no, I don't mean democrat-liberal (there is a *big* difference).

But I will tell you all how I feel about Bill Clinton and his affairs, and see if you agree with me. I believe Clinton embarrassed himself with his affairs with Lewinsky, but it was the Republicans, who in their witch trial like hearings, embarrassed the nation. What Bill did should have been resolved between him and his family... trust me, I think Hillary would have been ten times worse than Ken Starr. But instead, the gory, graphic details were dragged out for all to see, and the only reason the details were released was to discredit Clinton, and since he is the nations highest Democrat, discredit the Democratic party as well.

It was a political move, done by the best spin-doctors and head-hunters the Republicans could muster. Still, it failed at bringing him down, and only embarassed the nation. They even off'd Gingrich before they started. They had too, with Gingrich, who served his wife divorce papers while she was in the hospital suffering from cancer, at the helm of the Republicans, they couldn't claim any moral superiority/authority for their attacks. Their hypocrisy would have been to blatant. So, he packed his bags and took a ringside seat for the skewering of Clinton, fully in expectation that his sacrifice would pay dividends. No dice though. He split, Clinton stayed.

Hopefully, the politicians are now done with this tit-for-tat type of attacks. It started with Iran-Contra (dems attack bush/reagan), and was countered with monica-gate. I just hope they both realize that such partisan BS damages the country, and tears it apart.

This is also why I'm an Independant... and damn proud of it.

What Red says, I think for myself. Republicans should try it to sometime, except it is difficult to go back to that "certain point of view" approach later.

Scroll up a little Kosugi for the synopsis of the Clinton "pants around the ankles" facts that I laid out for Zippy.

That whole problem did NOT begin and end with Monica. And talk about tit for tat. Clinton and his Democrats are the ones that created the law that he broke when he exposed himself to Paula Jones.

My ire is very easy to explain. And it's NOTHING to do with morals or cheating on his wife. It's EVERYTHING to do with breaking the laws (that he and his party put on the books) and thinking that he is above it all. If I had done to our secretary, what he did to Paula Jones, I'd probably still be paying for it (if she could prove I did it). And I'd even cut him slack if he didn't garner the votes of the National Organization for Woman by helping get those hostile workplace laws passed.

Uhm, that is all. Can we get back to the fun stuff now?

Republiklans = suck!

No matter what you discuss, or argue.
You have to be a tight a$$ to be a good conservative.

<< Hopefully, the politicians are now done with this tit-for-tat type of attacks. >>

Kosugi,

I once thought as you do. Sadly, this can never be. At least not as long as the R and D Parties exist today that is. We need a solid third-party to wake them up. Aslo term limits for all sinators and reprehensivites would go along way toward keeping them focused on the people's business on not on waging War with the other side.

<< Who gives a sh!t what Kennedy says. Everybody knows he is a drunken Bastard >>

That ought to be proof positive Red isn't a left-wing pinko liberal.

Since when is having victory handed to you by your daddy's inferior court appointments instead of winning the vote not the biggest rape of the US voters in history. If you don't win fair, you don't win. Bush lost. Get over it.

The U.S. Supreme Court has NEVER ruled you don't have the right to bear arms, or arm bears. They have studiously avoided the issue. Neither side can claim victory yet.

That quibble aside, the original post is quite funny and true for the most part.

When quoting material use quotes. You guys make that mistake all the time. Failure to give attribution is a violation of the Seventh Commandment and always p*sses me off.

Hehe, Red, I ain't gonna miss a chance to remind the morality police their guy committed the biggest sin in US history. The flag wavers overthrew the government in a bloodless court led revolution and the, over-my-dead-body-NRA never even got off a single shot to defend us.

Moonbeam, next you will be telling us clinton wasnt selected. He was a throw away candidate who nobody thought had a chance. They didnt want to waste a winner against Bush. Thats why he had no policies in place when inaugurated and really never came up with any.

Just imagine, thebestMax, there was Clinton with no politics and he generates such fury and contempt. It's amazing. Bush does have political ideas though. Here's a recent one:

Jan. 29, 2001...A president's right to grant...pardons is "inviolate, as far as I'm concerned," he said. "It's an important part of the office. I am mindful not only of preserving executive powers for myself, but my predecessors as well."

Poor Bill, it's into the formaldehide jar for him.

Guess Im just missing your point, Moonbeam.

The law is the law until it is changed and Bush is upholding poor billy as I see it. Would he have done the same? He pardoned RICH paid for or not so he is pardoned but an inquiry might lead to a change so a travesty like that wouldnt happen again.

Rebuttal for the 18 rules...

1) That may be true, but the good 8 years sure as hell wasn't because of Clinton. State your facts if you believe otherwise.

2) Why would I believe that? Anyway, it goes both ways so its a wash.

3) Against useless, bloated, wasteful government programs yes. Geez, don't know about you, but at this point I'm not expecting to receive anything from Social Security due to the governments wasteful ways.

4) Government should stay out of people's lives and no they shouldn't regulate abortion, birth control, etc. What should the official language be then? Swahili? Correct me if I'm wrong but the Constitution is written in ENGLISH!

5) No its not ok, but you would be the first to complain if industry wasn't allowed to manufacture anything and therefore you would still be living like they did in the past.

6) Don't believe in prayer in schools. What's the freaking point of it? Its really going to prevent everything that goes on and make everyone saints?

7) I didn't even know we believed that.

8) I say leave the decision to women. That's right. Government should not dictate. PERIOD! But then, that goes for a lot of what the government wants to mess with...

9) How do you personally know what Jesus believes? Have you met him? The clergy in this country don't seem to agree with homosexuality and they are supposedly the spiritual leaders, so I guess that says something unless you want to dump on them too. Isn't it easy to hate Clinton for all the crap he put us through? If you can defend him then do so honestly, objectively and with some common sense and most of all back up your statements with fact but don't just say he was the greatest and you're done.

10) No, the Democrats diminish the opportunities for blacks by getting them to vote for them and leaving them out to dry!

11) Not against waiting period, but not allowing me to defend myself is fair? In this country, with all the wackos, yea it is an important concern. Where have you been? Do you keep up with current events, i.e. the guy that walked into Navistar...

12) No, lets not promote it as much as we can though. If they go out and buy them themselves then fine.

13) I dare you to come up with where the Supreme Court says that it isn't. Since when? How about some facts here, otherwise drop the question.

14) Basics of human sexuality is fine, but teaching them how to masturbate? I don't think so. One of Clinton's appointees (forget her name), said as much and got canned for it.

15) Don't understand this one.

16) Since when does this have to do with the rich and the poor buying art? Its simply a question of whether the government should be promoting it at all, i.e. giving money away for questionable art. And then who decides whether it is questionable or not? Someone in the government of course. Better to just not have it at all. Again, government stay out!

17) I don't believe this. But, then if you see a puddle in the middle of a parking lot, it is considered a possible animal sanctuary where endangered species might just come in and make a home. Give me a break.

18) Again, its a question of lying not marital infidelity. He lied to the entire country, to his staff, to his wife, to the world on TV. Then he did it in a courtroom. First president to have ever been convicted of contempt of court. Seeing as how forgiving most Americans are, why didn't he just fess up? Dumba@@!
