One would have thought some change might be in order after the November election results, but Democrats thought otherwise....

Congrats @NancyPelosi! There's no one we would rather have leading @HouseDemocrats! #StandWithNancy #ThanksHouseDems

Karl Rove @KarlRove
Congrats to House Dems for reelecting Nancy Pelosi! Helps advance GOP cause enormously. Ellison for DNC chair next please!

Kellyanne Conway @KellyannePolls
What a relief. I was worried they had learned from the elections & might be competitive and cohesive again. https://twitter.com/mkraju/status/804002693362700288 …

Matthew Chisholm @MChisholm
Dems (Nov 9): Geez, I guess we are really out of touch with middle America

Dems (Nov 30): That thing we are doing, yeah, let's double down

Now if they just place Keith Ellison (D-MN) in as DNC chair it will be a Republican home run instead of just a triple with Pelosi in as minority leader.

I doubt Pelosi matters to the future of the DNC.
What they need to do is chose better candidates to run in elections.
And Donald Trump is not one to compare to, not just yet.
Trump has not yet taken office or yet to fulfill one single promise made.
Until trump actually takes charge and does his thing, who knows....
Trump just might screw things up so massively yuge for those that trusted in him that Pelosi just may be the only hope left for salvaging the country under Trump rule.
No one knows if Trump can perform or if he is all talk.
And going by his cabinet picks thus far, I would bet the country is in store for major buyers remorse.

Pelosi will likely be the most effective at blocking Repub proposals. I don't think she was re-elected to help Dems appeal to middle class voters (or any for that matter).

This isn't the Senate. Being the minority party in the House might as well mean you don't even exist.

Clinton lost the EC but won the popular vote by 2.5 million votes.
Democrats picked up 6 seats in the House.
Democrats picked up 2 or 3 seats in the Senate.

Here in objective, observable reality, the Democratic party picked up seats in both Houses of Congress and more people voted for the Democratic party candidate for President.

The Democratic party thanks all of you for the concern about the state of the party.

In objective reality the Democrats lost an election to the worst candidate in modern history for exhibiting similar denial

Didn't you vote for "the worst candidate in modern history"?

If so, what does that make you, champ?

People voted for "the worst candidate in modern history" because they obviously have zero understanding of what a government does and how it works.

Which, of course, doesn't change any of what I said. The Republican party won the Electoral College because of a few thousand people in Pennsylvania, and lost seats in the House and Senate.

This wasn't a rout. Unless you're naive enough to believe whatever "the worst candidate in modern history" is lying about this tweet.

Champ. So adorable. I live in a solid blue state so I decided to write in a protest vote. If I lived in a swing state I would have bit my lip and voted Clinton.

But by all means continue with the condescending eliticist dismissiveness and tone deaf pyrrhic victory posturing.

Hey, when the facts get to hot and heavy, just change the argument.

Pyrrhic victory, indeed.

If Democrats changed leaders the GOP would just slime the shit out of the new leader anyway.

Really? He brought jobs back to Indiana? Because last I heard he saved 1000 out of 1400, while noble, that's certainly not an example of bringing jobs back to the US.
I never said it was good policy, but I am sure for the employees spared, they get to enjoy at least one more holiday season.

This is my problem with globalization. At some point in the mid to late nighties, the MBA excel jockies got it in their heads this notion of shareholder value, where the more you screw over your employees, the higher your stock seems to rise.

There is no reason why Carrier should not be able to pay employees a competitive wage and simultaneously manufacture a quality product and offer it to market at a fair price. Instead we have the wallmartification of American consumerism.

Yes there will always be disruptive technologies, and industries will rise and fall. I get that. What I have a problem with is a select few getting rich while simultaneously screwing both consumers (lower quality product) and workers (offshoaring or outsourcing work)

She pulled a 70% vote, not great, and she's the kind of person that'll figure out who voted against her and punish them.

I'm not much of a Pelosi fan, but I have to admit, she pulls some serious $ from donors, more than a hundred million last year IIRC.

What facts. The irrelevant popular vote win that I am sure we will be hearing about ad nauseum for the next four years?

Any president who wins the electoral college & loses the popular vote by a substantial margin will lack legitimacy in the eyes of the people. That's particularly true when they have a radical agenda.

Hillary lost against the greatest campaign of lies & deceptions of the modern era. Trump's win is a triumph of propaganda.
