You might want to fix your title first, before we begin with your resume. "I am finally unemployment? "

I love how idiots display their resumee asking for help, but feel the need to blank out their name and contact information... this is probably the stupidest thing you could possibly do.

Lets start with your objective statement... as in its missing.

I worked on that project.

It's better now than what it was when I was undergrad; it still sucks tremendously. Not enough parking and too far from anything else.

It works to segregate engineers from the rest of the student body, which is hardly what you'd want to do given the lack of social skills in that segment in the first place.

objective statements are the most useless part of a resume. You already know what the job you're applying to entails; why do you need an objective statement?

I'm sure you were ready to offer me a job otherwise...
Also given what you've said, i can only assume you're about 15 years old?

Objective statement is very subjective. It depends on the kind of job he is applying for, and would probably change for each application. He might be well without it since he is just out of school.

It's only useful if you're dropping your resume to a job bank or something broad of that sort. If I'm applying for a specific position, it's 0 value added.

Quick Critique...

1. For your experience 2001-2003, 3rd sentence, Remove "general" unless it is the actual job title. Possibly revise it, seemed kind of oddly put when starting with 'acted'.
2. Summer 2005, 1 sentence, remove "several"
3. Summer 2000, 2nd sentence, revise "side" - maybe division?

Will do more if I get time.

The worst is when freshman who have no interest in engineering, art, architecture or music are assigned to north campus housing their freshman year.

Actually ill be 30 in 17 days, thank you... happy birthday to me... happy birthday to me.

Only retarded job hunters wait till you see a job ad posted and just respond to it with a resumee...

A resumee is like an advertisement... You dont need to go to a job bank to make an objective statement useful...you send them out to companies who dont even have openings posted and they will STILL consider you. It helps them to know what kind of position, field of study, etc you are looking to work in.

Many employers will keep a resumee on file for up to 3 years, do you think that they are going to remember that you applied for position 117893614 (whatever the hell that even was) over 18 months ago? Hell no. so you need to put an objective statement, so they dont call you and ask you if you want to be a forklift driver, when you wanted to be an HR officer.

you dont have to get THAT specific... and objective statement can be somewhat vague and still be plenty useful.

I am seeking permanent full time employment in the area of Information Technology in the southwestern pennsylvania region, without having a daily commute to downtown Pittsburgh.

Notice... i didnt say, I want to be a network admin...a programmer...or a weather forecast modeler. though my statement is valid for ALL 3 jobs i would accept.

In Summer 2005, where were you a Summer Analyst at? I'm assuming Goldman Sachs, but that is unclear with your format.

I noticed that too. It's not obvious because you didn't indent that 'paragraph' so that it appears like a sub-heading to Goldman Sachs. To keep the format consistent, just copy and paste the company. Otherwise, indent it slightly, or change the title format entirely.

Otherwise, very nice. If you need extra space, you can try putting your education and 'career summary' on a sidebar. Something I picked up at my current company.

Well you see, the best companies, dont ever have to place an ad in the classifieds, because they always have a small stack of resumees on hand, the cream of the crop...

well lets look into what happens when your resumees arrive.
Either your resumee impresses them and you get added to the stack, or it goes into file 13 immediately.

In 2 months when a position opens up, they pull out that stack and select 3-5, make some calls, have interviews, and hire someone with a 6 figure salary to do your dream job.

You on the other hand, didnt even get considered, because you didnt see a job ad, never knew about the opening, and therefore never sent them a resume.

Engineers, Network Admins, and Programmers are all alike... they dont know jack shit about sales and advertising. Selling yourself is what the job market is all about.
